Studio Philosophy
Insecimbio treats every commission as a dialogue between structural honesty and the quiet rituals of domestic life. Our designers begin with measured drawings of existing volumes before proposing material palettes drawn from quarries within a hundred kilometres of Verona.
We reject catalogue-driven interiors that could belong to any European capital. Instead we layer plaster textures, walnut inlays, and hand-forged ironwork that reference the city's Roman foundations and Scaligeri legacy without slipping into pastiche.
Verona Context
Working from a studio near Piazza delle Erbe, we understand how afternoon light filters through shuttered palazzi and how winter fog softens the pink marble of local facades. These atmospheric conditions inform our specification of limewash tones and curtain weights.
Many clients arrive after purchasing apartments inside converted convent wings or new-build flats along the Adige embankment. We calibrate each scheme to the acoustic behaviour of thick stone walls or the thinner partitions of contemporary construction.
Material Stewardship
Our procurement team maintains relationships with Friulian stonecutters, Vicenza textile mills, and Bologna leather workshops that still finish hides using vegetable tanning. Samples arrive labelled with batch numbers so replacements remain consistent decades later.
Where clients request sustainable certification, we document chain-of-custody for every timber board and document recycled content percentages for acoustic panels installed in home offices.
Engagement Overview
Initial consultations at our Via Mazzini atelier last ninety minutes and include a walkthrough of comparable completed projects photographed on site rather than in staged showrooms. Following agreement, we deliver concept boards within three weeks.
Full-service engagements from concept through installation supervision typically span four to nine months depending on joinery lead times. Fixed design fees start at €4,800 for a single-room study and scale with square metreage.
